At the Alliance Chapter we pride ourselves in the professionalism our umpires display on the field year in and year out. That professionalism isn’t an accident, it comes from a consistent and intentional training process that allows our umpires to develop and practice the skills that they need to excell on the field. The high school season in Texas runs from the first week of February through the State Tournament in June. In order to be ready for the season we begin our new member training in November for umpires with limited or no high school experience. Then in January we begin the training program for our more experienced umpires.
